Agile Market Intelligence's 2025 Legal Tech Review
The 2025 Legal Tech Review from Agile Market Intelligence examines how AI, automation and other legal technologies are currently being used across the industry, as well as the barriers, risks and opportunities shaping their adoption.

Challenge (Abstract)
Lawyers wish to optimise their processes and deliver services more efficiently, and also desire to dedicate more time to actual legal work. New technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation are the answers to achieving this. However, it is first necessary to understand how these new technologies are currently being utilised, the risks and barriers in adoption, as well as the value they bring to legal professionals.
The 2025 Legal Tech Review, produced by Agile Market Intelligence, analyses technology as it is utilised in the legal industry, and illustrates the direction it is currently heading.
Solution (Methodology)
A survey collecting responses from 1,213 respondents, including 944 private practice legal professionals and 269 corporate counsels, was conducted between 4th February and 5th May 2025. The sample provided their user ratings and feedback on 39 legal tech platforms, which was later grouped into four solution categories for a nuanced analysis.
Findings (Results)
- 6 in 10 firms plan to increase their tech spend in the next 12 months.
- Over 80% of users report satisfaction with key features such as integrated searches, legal research, due diligence searches, and workflow automation.
- Eliminating time-consuming tasks is the top priority for lawyers who want technology that enables them to focus on legal work.
