Survey launched for Agile Market Intelligence’s 2026 Legal Tech Review

Last year, Agile Market Intelligence released its first Legal Tech Review, a report that analyses how technology is utilised in the legal industry and future projections in this area. The 2025 report highlighted how proficiency in technology, such as artificial intelligence, is key to legal firms in optimising their operations and delivering their services more efficiently.

AI tools are now a core component of legal practice across Australia, helping firms stay competitive. As these tools continue to develop and advance, however, firms are required to adapt to the changing landscape and adjust their tech stack to meet the demands of their customers.

Agile Market Intelligence resolves to uncover the current technological landscape through the 2nd Legal Tech Review survey. This survey will collect survey responses from legal professionals including both private practice professionals and in-house legal counsels across Australia from firms of various sizes, locations, and practice areas.

The survey invites legal professionals to share their insights on using technology for legal work. Topics include adoption, implementation into the firm’s tech stack, risks and barriers involved, and practical outcomes.

Survey responses will be compiled into the 2026 Legal Tech Review report, providing a consolidated view of the current landscape, pain points, and growth opportunities in legal technology.

Michael Johnson, Director at Agile Market Intelligence, mentions how participation in the survey is a benefit to legal practitioners and to the platforms they adopted.

“The annual Legal Tech Review survey gives the chance for legal professionals to express their sentiments regarding their firm’s tech stack. This is honest feedback for platforms to improve their services to legal practitioners, whilst also advising colleagues in the industry on the benefits and challenges of adopting such technologies. This feedback loop will result in more technologically-proficient firms, ultimately heading towards the goal of providing the best possible service to clients.”

As with last year, legal tech platforms will be assessed by Australian legal practitioners, providing data to identify the Market Leaders in 2026.

This year’s survey will be open until Thursday, 30 April. Respondents will have the chance to claim a share of $5,000 in prizes with 10 participants winning a $500 Prezzee eGift card weekly.

Key findings from Agile Market Intelligence’s 2026 Legal Tech Review will be published on the Agile Market Intelligence website later this year.
